Hugo Madureira’s Calypso Ring
Hugo Madureira’s Calypso Ring, featured on the September issues of Vogue’s cover, is made of 18K white gold, reconstructed coral, snowflake obsidian and diamonds. Part of the Kastellorizo Collection, it draws inspiration from Ancient Greek mythology - Calypso - the goddess-nymph of the mythical island of Ogygia, promised Odysseus eternal youth and immortality in return of love. Hugo was born in Porto in 1982. He studied product design, jewellery making and visual arts in Portugal and Finland.
